OK, enough of that Hawaiiana stuff - Aloha to Paradise, I'm off to Japan to check out sword manufacturing in the 1200's and meet with some master sword makers (that after visiting Seville a while back to check out ancient and modern Spanish sword manufacturing).  Did you know I fenced in college?  I competed in both foil and epee, later participating in saber till I got tired of the welt marks - our version of warrior tatoos.  I'm also looking forward to visiting some of the likely historical sites for "The Sword of Kamehameha."  I love Japan and hope to spin off one or two m/m erotic romances based on my experiences.  More of that later.

What I wanted to mention while on my way to Japan is a little about my latest manuscript, almost completed, entitled "The Edge of Madness."  Shades of Tripler and Clarke (from "Total Meltdown" written under my pen name Raymond Gaynor with William Maltese, now in press at Wildside/Borgo and soon to be released)!  In "Edge of Madness" serendipity brings the offspring of Tripler and Clarke (hey, weren't they a devoted gay couple in "Total Meltdown" - Well, yes, but...) together for another one-two punch at the emerging New World Order.  "The Edge of Madness" is a no-holds-barred all-or-nothing hit at everything we hold to be self-evident, enduring and true today and in our future.  I'll be posting more about this science fiction m/m erotic romance manuscript as it nears completion.

Sincerely,
Gary Martine
